The Metavic team recommends first installing optimum protection for the entire machine. Protection for the operator’s cabin consists in particular of a Lexan logging safety window and a reinforced roof equipped with LED lights. Your hydraulic system is modified to maximize the harvester head’s performance.
The lateral protection of your excavator (forestry machine) provided by Metavic allows you to give the protection of the engine panels and hydraulic system. Of course, we design the system so that the panels remain easy to access.
This protection consists of guide rails that help to keep the tracks in place when moving over rugged and uneven terrain. The guide rails are made up of two parts and are bolted onto the structure of the tracks. A significant improvement for preventing mechanical breakage when working in the forest.
To ensure the stability and proper balance of your excavator during work, we recommend to provide it with a counterweight made up of two compartments specifically for the fire extinguishers.
Adding a hydraulic oil cooler helps to maintain an appropriate temperature at all times for your engine. This is a valuable asset for long work days, particularly in the summertime.
